Run for a tutor outside of the school system!
Unfortunately a lot teachers have bought into the system’s failures because they do not have the courage to say anything that contradicts the system for fear of being a considered a trouble maker.

You are your child’s best advocate. If the system disregards your concerns your nest step is to figure out through research what to do next. There are thousands of former teachers who have walked away for the system and started their own tutoring companies or bought a franchise (Kumon, Sylvan, etc.) because they knew that they could actually make a difference outside of the system. versus inside of the system.

There are really good school systems and awesome teachers who are doing incredible work inside the system. Yet, thousands of parents know that their child needs help beyond what the system is capable of providing. Do not let the fear of “not being the educational expert” stop you from being your child’s educational expert. As much as teachers love their students no teacher love your child more than you. Use your deep love your child motivate you to do what you need to do to get them the best education possible!
